Cold?

Well, Brad and I have been making an effort to get out of the apartment more.
Well, I'VE been making more of an effort anyways, with objections from Brad.
But anyway, I just don't want to get apartment fever.

Other than normal shopping at the grocery store or having to buy random things from the drugstore, we hadn't been doing anything at all.
However, a couple nights ago, I told Brad we should go out for dinner, so we went to Craigos.
It was pretty good, but there's not as much crust as there used to be (economy?) so it wasn't as tasty in my opinion.
Still nice to actually go somewhere and sit down and eat food without the TV on in front of us.

My brother asked if we wanted to go out and play racquetball yesterday, but Brad didn't want to, so we didn't.
But today my brother called again, so after my visiting teachers came over, my brother came by to pick us up and we went ice skating.
:D
I love ice skating!!
Then we went back to my brother's apartment, made sushi, and played some Wii.

We should be going to the movies soon too.
Yes, Man.
Hopefully it's funny.
Anyway, that's just a little quick update for now.
Once I clean up our bedroom, i'll take some pictures of our apartment and put them up on here.
:)

Sorry!

I know, I know.
It's been a LONG time since i've really update on here.
Even my husband has updated more recently than me!

Anyway, both the wedding and the reception went well.
It was a little chilly and windy on our wedding day, but there was nothing that could get me down.
There is no doubt that it was the happiest day of my life thus far.
We stayed in Vegas for a couple days in my parents timeshare.
I love the penthouses there. :)
Yay for jacuzzi's on the balcony.
Anyway, then we went down and stayed at my parents for a few days until the reception the following saturday.
It was nice to see a lot of my relatives that I haven't seen in a long time.
We got some sweet gifts (we still need to send out thank you cards :/ ).
Now we're all moved in up in Rexburg, for the most part anyways.
We've still got a few things to finish unpacking and put away which for now are stacked in the living room closet, but we'll get it done soon.
Our ward seems pretty good and the bishop seems like a nice guy.
We haven't really hung out with anyone yet, so sorry to all our friends out there!
We're just relaxing for a bit after months of wedding madness.
Well, we're going to the temple later today and life is good.
:)

I was going to include some photos in here, but they're all on my facebook, so why bother?
Lol.
I will post soon about our apartment though.
As soon as we put all the finishing touches on everything, i'll take some pictures and I WILL post them on here.

I realize...

...that I should probably post about the wedding first, but since Jenna tagged me, i'll just get that done.

1. Where did you meet your husband?
Well, I was sitting in the living room of my apartment at Legacy Ridge with some of my roommates when there was a knock on the door. It was this super geeky looking guy from the ward who came to set up appointments with the bishop for us since we had callings. Then of course Ana, my incredibly...outgoing... roommate asked him where he went on his mission and he said Riverside, California, and I started freaking out because that's the mission I live in, etc... Then I got called to do the ward bulletin, and since Brad was the Executive Secretary, he had been doing it, so he "trained" me on how to do it, and since I had to be there freaking early in the morning and Church wasn't until 1, Brad and I would just hang out and play Sudoku after the bulletin was done.

2. How long did you date before you got married?
Like 6 months?

3. How long have you been married?
About 4 days!

4. What does he do to surprise you?
I dunno. He doesn't surprise me that often. He's not creative enough. Haha! I love you Brad!

5. What is your favorite feature of his?
Probably his gorgeous blue eyes. I could look into them forever. And I do. All the time. Haha.

6.What is your favorite quality?
He's so relaxed and easy-going! Even though it can be a little frustrating when he can never think of anything to do, it's still nice that we never fight or get too stressed about anything!

7. Does he have a nickname for you?
Not really. Maybe later.

8. What is his favorite food?
I don't think he has an actual favorite. I know he likes Salmon. Lol. And pasta. Pizza. You know, basic yummy foods like that.

9. What is his favorite sport?
Probably golf.
YAWN.

10. When and where did you first kiss?
I honestly don't remember the actual day! Lol.
I know it was in June sometime, a couple weeks after we started "dating." It was on my couch in the living room though. We were cuddling and he said "Would it be awkward if I kissed you?" and I leaned in and laid one on him in response.

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Just sit around and hold each other. I know, we're so sickeningly sweet. I think some people perceive us as boring when we just sit and do nothing, but we thoroughly enjoy it!

12. Do you have children?
Not yet! Soon I hope!

13. Does he have any hidden talents?
He doesn't really hide his talents.

14. How old is he?
OLD! Haha. He's 24, turning 25 in March.

15. Who said I love you first?
He did. And I lied and said it back. At the time, I didn't even really have those kind of feelings for him at all honestly! I felt so horrible for lying, so I told him the truth, and then a couple weeks later, I realized that I DID love him, so I told him. :)

16. What is his favorite music?
He likes a variety, like me.

17. What do you admire most about him?
He's the most caring man I know. Seriously.

18. What is his favorite color?
If he had to choose, it would be blue.

19. Will he read this?
Definitely.

20. People I tag...
Laura Long, Sara Kofoed, and I don't really know any other married people who blog!

Happy New Year takes on a whole new meaning...

Today is the first day of 2009, and it seriously still feels like 2007!
I can't believe how fast the past couple years of my life has gone by!
It's weird to imagine what happened even just one year ago.
My last new year was not a happy memory, and I feel like i've become a completely different person since then.
What's weirder is thinking about two new years ago.
Funny how I was in basically the same situation.
And yet, here I am, January 1st 2009, and I don't even know who I was back then.
I know most of it is because of Brad.
He makes me want to be so much better, and I am more and more happy with my life and with who I am every single day.
And with Brad and my wedding just two days away, I know that this year will be the best i've had so far.
And I can't even imagine how much more i'm going to progress.

Nothing seems planned at all for the actual wedding day, and i'm starting to freak out a little bit about it.
I'm sure everything will work out just fine, but in the meantime it's pretty stressful.
Especially since we've 2 days left, and on plans for what's going on before I need to be at the temple at 12.
What everyone will do until the actual sealing ceremony at 3:30.
What we're going to be doing after the ceremony.
Will there be a dinner?
Who will be taking pictures?
When is everyone leaving?
Who all is even coming?
The worst part is that i've got so many people asking me these questions over and over again, but I don't have any answers!
So stop asking please!

Yeah yeah

Yes....
I am aware that the title of my blog is Mrs. Odasso and that I won't be Mrs. Odasso for another 6 days.

However, since I am always too lazy to change my blog, I figured I might as well do it now while i'm super bored before I never get around to it, you know?

Here comes the bride...

I really wanted to post yesterday, but between then hours long drive, listening to Eclipse, and doing 360's on the highway due to ice, I didn't have much time.
The reason I wanted to post yesterday is because, well, it was exactly ONE WEEK until Brad and I get married!
Of course, now it's only 6 days, which is even better.
It's hard to contain my excitement.
Brad and I mention it every chance we get.
I bring it up in relief society, on facebook and myspace, in casual conversation, everywhere!
I can't even fathom how wonderful our life is going to be after January 3rd.
Brad is the most amazing man i've ever met, and I know he's going to be even more amazing as a husband, and someday, as a father.

We're up in Idaho right now, staying with my brother.
The snow is INSANE and I want to get out as soon as possible, but i've got to meet with my branch president in the next couple days to talk about what's going to happen in the temple, and after that, we'll take off on our journey to eternity.
Cheesy, I know. Haha.
Anyway, We'll get to Vegas on Friday, get married on Saturday, stay in Vegas a few days, then drive down to D-Town for the reception the following Saturday.
Then, sadly, it's back up here.
Though, i'm really not too bummed about living in Rexburg.
I'll be living with Brad and that's all that matters.

Christmas was nice.
Brad and I hung out at my parents house and just played games and watched movies and all around chilled.
I got a lot of weather related presents, so obviously my family knows my distaste for cold weather.
Two pairs of cozy socks, slippers, a down comforter, thermals, and an electric heater.
At least i'll stay warm here!
I would list my other presents, but that's not really what Christmas is about, so yeah.
I will say that I lvoe having Christmas with family.
Even though my little sister was being a huge snot the whole day, it was still nice to sit around early in the morning and just enjoy each others company.
I'm so excited to be starting my own family VERY soon!
Even if it does only include me and Brad.

Other than these big events, not much has happened.
Went and saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
It was pretty good, so I would recommend it.
Had my first pap smear.
That was an experience.
Moving into Brad and I's new apartment hopefully tomorrow.
I'll sleep over there and unpack stuff while Brad will probably keep sleeping at my Brother's for a couple nights until we drive back down for the wedding.
:D

Yeah, I know....

I haven't posted in about 22 days.
It's insane.
Truly.
I've never really gone this long.
But I have probable cause!
Lol.
When I was living at Karen's, her internet RARELY ever worked, and when it did, it was generally only for a minute or two at a time.
Most of the time, though, I was working or something.
Anyway, I suppose I should update you all on what's been going down.

I quit my job at Sams Club.
My last day was the 15th.
I know that I didn't work there very long and that I probably shouldn't have even considered giving up a job in this economy, but not having it will make my life so much easier.
Because I quit, I was able, with Brad, to come down to California for a little bit!
Which is where I am now.
I packed up all my stuff, moved out of Karen's, put some things in storage, and Brad and I took off.
We stopped in Utah on the way down to stay with Jenna and Travis.
I also picked up my wedding dress on the way down, so there's one less thing I have to worry about.
Since we've been down here, we've done a lot of nothing.
Lot's of shopping, I guess, to Brad's dismay, but we've been fairly lazy overall.
Tonight we worked on Favors for the reception, and once Christmas is over, it'll be easier to work on more wedding plans and decorations and what not.
11 days!
Unfortunately, we've got to head back up to Idaho on Saturday, which is kind of lame, but will be worth it.
I'm going to be meeting with my stake president for my temple recommend, and then meeting with my branch president to discuss everything that will happen in the temple, so it's pretty exciting.
Then I'll move into our new apartment and start moving stuff in there and Brad will probably just stay with my brother or something.
Then we'll head down to Vegas on the first or second, get married on the third, then spend the next few days in Vegas in pure wedded bliss.
Lol.
Then we'll just drive down to DHS and have the reception on the 10th, then back up to Idaho.
Oh joy. (There is a hint of sarcasm there just because Idaho is too freaking cold for me and I don't really want to live there.)

So that's really all that's been going on.
See, if I had been blogging continuously, you probably would have been bored.
:)
