95 to 154

So, the last couple of days have been fun.
On Thursday, Brad and I decided to go bowling.
We got over to Teton Lanes, only to find that Thursday night is league night and there would be no open lanes until 9:15, and since we were there a little after 7, we took bowling off of our Thursday night dinner plate.
Instead, we went over to Kmart, bought some ice cube trays and laundry detergent and Doritos.
We also decided to stop by Arctic Circle and pick up work applications, as well as oreo shakes.
We still haven't filled out and turned in the applications, so hopefully we'll do that tomorrow.
Friday, we DID actually go bowling.
I hadn't been in so long, so it was fun!
We played three games, of which Brad won two, of course.
The first game, however, I will hold over his head forever!
I scored a 154 (not bad for a wimpy white girl who never goes bowling, right?) and Brad got a 95!!
It was amazing.
I don't remember the scores from our second game, but I know I did super lousy (somewhere around 60?) and Brad got 90 I think.
Not a good game for either of us.
The third game was probably the most realistic.
It takes Brad a while to warm up, and I usually have a great first game, horrible second game, and average third game.
Anyway, I got 121 and he got 129.
He pretty much always beats me at bowling, so it was nice to seriously kick his butt for once.
Saturday we had planned on going to a flea market that was being held in the MC, but I wasn't feeling very well and fell asleep on the couch.
Oh well.
We spent most of saturday eating junk food and watching the rest of season 1 of Jericho.
That show rocks, so you should watch it.
Today, we've got our home teachers coming around 6, we'll be making banana bread because our bananas are finally brown enough, We'll probably watch all of season 2 of Jericho (it's only 7 episodes), Michael is apparently staying the night here, so he should be here around 7, and I think we might have pasta and meatballs for dinner.
Today should be good.
Well, I've got to start getting ready for church now, and maybe get some food in me.

Pot Roast, Cannery, Cleaning, Sealings...

Well, the past week has been alright.
Valentines Day is not even worth mentioning.
Sunday was nice though.
Brad and I sang in the ward choir for ward conference, and we sounded really good.
We sang an arrangement of "I Stand All Amazed" which is my favorite hymn EVER, so that was a plus.
It was also our last class of Family History, since it's only a 4-week class, so I guess next Sunday we'll just go to gospel doctrine or try and get into Family and Marriage Relations or something.
I really enjoyed learning more about family history and doing some of the work, which I NEVER thought I would enjoy.
Then Sunday night, my brother Paul invited us over to have Pot Roast for dinner.
It was pretty good (nice to have something that wasn't mac and cheese or something burnt, stupid oven, for a change.)
We watched a little TV and then my brother just fell asleep, so we left around 8:30.
Monday was pretty slow-going, as most days are, but it wasn't too bad.
We finished playing Eragon on the XBOX 360.
For FHE we decided to do Family History, so I got onto my mom's ancestry.com account and found SO many names on my dad's side, it was insane!
Brad was complaining that he didn't have anything to do because his mom had already done so much and to get anything more, he would need to travel to a different country.
However, he did end up finding some new names, so that was pretty exciting.
We also signed up for Netflix on Monday, which is probably money we shouldn't be spending since it's not a necessity, but Brad and I watch so many movies, that the downloaded crappy copies are getting old, and going to Redbox all the time is just too much work for lazy people like us, so Netflix was a good solution.
Because with Netflix, you can watch movies and TV shows online, we started to watch a show we hadn't seen before, so we chose Jericho.
We watched the first two episodes Monday night, and it's pretty good so far.
Yesterday was pretty eventful.
I played Guitar Hero (yes, I played Guitar Hero, by myself, of my own free will) for a little while.
Then we got ready to go to the cannery in Idaho Falls.
There, we worked on labeling cans and then bouring broth into the ones being made.
The cannery has been doing chicken noodle soup for the last couple weeks, so the place really smelled of it.
Not the best idea for Brad and I to not have eaten before going, because we were starving and pouring Broth was making it worse.
At one point, my stomach hurt so bad I felt like vomiting and passing out!
Though i'm sure the steam coming from the cans wasn't helping that either.
After the cannery, we drove back to Rexburg and decided to go to Craigos, since they had a special going where the dinner buffet was only 3.99 and drinks for only .59.
However, we got to the parking lot, and theree was a line going out the door, it was insane.
So instead, we went to Sonic and just ate there.
Afterwards, we waited at home for about an hour and a half before leaving for the temple to do cleaning.
Our "leader" guy was kind of an oddball, but overall, cleaning was enjoyable.
For the majority of the time, Brad and I were the dusters together.
We went around and dusted EVERYTHING.
After we were finished, Brad got sent off to clean the excess baking soda out of the bathrooms? and I got stuck with some abrasive cleaner and a toothbrush, cleaning out the dirt from the metal things in the elevators.
Today, we're doing sealings at 4, so it's back to the temple we go!
I should really invest in buying my own temple clothes.

Watching The Cosby Show

So, Brad and I got health insurance today.
Man, stuff is expensive!
Life was so much cheaper when you're on your parents insurance, when you eat food out of their fridge, and when they drive you and pay for the gas.
But it's all good.
I guess you can't expect to have an AMAZING life without it costing something.
Haha.
Anyway, they just have to like, process all the stuff, which will take a few weeks, but then it should be all good.
Kinda makes me feel better knowing that in just a couple weeks, if one of us gets sick or hurt, we can go to the doctors!

Oh, so, Brad and I have seen a couple good movies lately!
A couple weeks ago we watched Defiance, and yes, it's rated r and we try to avoid that rating as much as possible, but it just looked so good and I love true historical stories, so we watched it.
And it was really good!
There was, however, a lot of cursing, so beware.
Today, we watched Taken.
It was also really good!
I love a good thriller, and the main girl in the movie's name was Kim, so that was a plus.
Haha!
Anyway, we watch a lot of movies, so if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear em!

Valentines Days is Saturday, and we don't really have any plans.
I did, however, get down to Walmart today to do some "Love" shopping.
I made a homemade gift for Brad and put it all together and i'm really excited for it, even if Brad won't be!
Plus, the gift bag is super cute and I want to keep it forever!
Maybe we'll go out to dinner or just make a nice one at home or something.
I don't know.
I guess we'll see.
I mean, we show each other how much we love each other every day, so Valentines Day shouldn't be too much different, right?

Next week should be pretty eventful.
Lots of church related activities.
Hopefully all the spirit i'll be feeling next week will help me get into a better habit of reading my scriptures more often.
Every night I try and figure out what book I should read, when there really should be no competition.

Wowee

So.... YAY!
Brad and I are flying out to Pennsylvania next month!
We leave on the 3rd and get back on the 11th.
I'm so excited!
Although i've never been to western Pennsylvania, I loved the eastern part, I love New York, I love New Jersey, I just love it out east!
Plus, we get to get out of our apartment for an entire week!
AND we get to fly, which I haven't done in months!
I love flying!
And i'm sure it'll be so much better with my husband!

In other news, we also officially have a joint checking account as of today!
I love things that just make our marriage more official.
Like how we got our marriage certificate in the mail the other day.

Life is good.
:)

Shorty

Well, we went to Utah this weekend.
Not too eventful.
Went to my cousins Sealing, which was nice.
Got to see some of my cousins that I haven't seen in quite a while.
There really isn't too much to say.
Well, except that Izzy (one of my new nieces) seems to like me more than before.
Which is good.

There's nothing going on this week.
My parents aren't coming up this weekend.
Brad and I are singing in the ward choir for ward conference next Sunday.
Next week we're cleaning the temple, doing some sealings, and going to the cannery.

I wish Ana was here.

The Walmart State

Well, we're headed off to Utah today.
Gonna stop in IF first, go to where I used to live and pick up my last paycheck that Sams Club mailed to my old address rather than the new one I gave them when they called.
Oh well.
Then we're going to finally go to Olive Garden for lunch!
Yay!
I've really been missing their breadsticks.
We'll probably drive to Jenna's and hang out there for a bit. I'm not sure when Brad's dad and sister will be there, so I don't know if we can stay at Jenna's tonight, or if i'll need to call up my aunt and see if we can stay there tonight.
Well, we'll see.
Should be a nice little weekend away from the apartment that we rarely leave.
Tomorrow my cousin is getting married, so that's pretty exciting!
We're the same age, got engaged around the same time and got married around the same time!
Pretty crazy.
We'll probably head back up here on Saturday or Sunday morning.
I don't know.
We never really make plans in advance.
And now Brad is going to play a video game right in front of me, so that's my cue to leave.
Adios!

Our First Apartment

Well, since I think things have finally been settled and since I stayed up all night cleaning since I couldn't fall asleep, I decided to finally take some pictures of the apartment and put them up.
I already put these up on Facebook, but because you are reading my blog, you get your own personal written commentary!
Enjoy!
:D

First we see our couch. I have to say, it is not very comfortable at all, but when Brad and I were shopping at Ross today, we decided to buy some comfy pillows for it, so here they are.

There's the couch without the pillows. One of my favorite areas is in this picture: The DVD bookcase! I love movies! Haha. Anyways, I alphabetized them all, obviously. On top of the case is our still empty photo frame. I just ordered some 5x7 pictures to put in it, so this frame should be full in a couple days! Yay!

I wish the trash bag hadn't been in the picture, but I took these pictures this morning and we didn't take the trash out until after I was done taking pictures and we left for breakfast. Anyways, there's our little table that we never really eat at. Probably because Brad's laptop takes up most of the table and he is ALWAYS on it.

There's our TV with all the guitar hero controllers. Next to our fridge. Not much to say here.

On to the best room of the house, the KITCHEN! It's so stocked in there with pots and pans and dishes, it's ridiculous.

The other side of the kitchen. :)

On in to the bedroom. This is right behind the bedroom door. Since we got the apartment furnished, it came with this huge desk in our room, and it's pretty beat up, but handy. That TV was the one that came with the apartment and was in the living room. Next to it is my amazing Desktop! I love my desktop computer, you have no idea!

Here's our closet. As you can see, all my keds hold a place of honor. :D

This picture is kind of random, because it doesn't really show anything. I just wanted you to get a feel of the whole place. Haha. There's our hamper. My purses. The bookshelf with not very many books on it (the rest are in storage), a barbie, our cake topper, and a couple picture frames.

Our bed. Where the magic happens. Hahahaha.

Here's the sink. There's not much counter space, or drawer space, or ANY space in the bathroom, which kinda stinks, but I try to keep it as uncluttered as possible.

And at the end of the tour is just the shower. It was a little messy and I didn't clean it, so I kept the curtain closed.

Alrighty, the end! Haha. I know, it looks small, and it kind of is in comparison to say, The Ridge, but I like it. It's just the right size for us and plus, I don't really care where we live. As long as i've got a kitchen and my amazing husband, I'm good!

In other news, today was nice.
We got outside some more!
We intended to wake up at 7 and get to Denny's by 8, but instead we woke up at 8:15 and got there by 9:40ish.
In case you weren't aware, Denny's gave a free grand slam to every customer today from 6-2.
It was PACKED. I've never seen so many people at a Denny's.
Luckily, our wait was only maybe 15 minutes, we got seated, told them what drinks we wanted and how we wanted our eggs and soon thereafter we were drinking juice and eating pancakes.
We got out of there around 10:50, and it looked even busier than when we got there, which I wouldn't have been able to imagine.
Anyway, we then headed over to Ross.
I was hoping for a couple new shirts and some new skirts, but apparently NO ONE wears skirts up here (sarcasm much?) and Ross had maybe 6 skirts in stock, all either the wrong size or just plain nasty.
It was a little disappointing, but I did get some new shirts, which I REALLY needed.
We also got those pillows as I mentioned earlier.
Then we went into the mall, no skirts there either (or no skirts under 20 bucks) so we went into Game Stop, bought some new games, and headed out.
We were planning on going to Olive Garden for lunch, but we were still full, so we went into Big Lots, walked around there for a bit, bought some rootbeer and cream soda, and left there.
STILL full, we decided to not go to Olive Garden and just headed home.

And now on to tomorrow:
I'm going to vacuum!
Lol.
It'll be the first time using our new vacuum, so i'm pretty excited.
I'm also excited to suck up all the salt by the front door.
Stupid snow and ice.

Alright, that's the end of my long blog!
And now YOU should blog.
Seriously, whoever you are, if you had enough time to read my blog about some couch pillows, you should have time to blog too!
Thanks!
:)

Feeling all right.... oh yeah.

So, I watched the superbowl yesterday.
Sort of.
I mostly tuned out during the football stuff and watched the commercials.
Then I fell asleep during the last half.
Bruce Springsteen just made me so tired.

Ok.
It bores me to even write about football.
On to more exciting stuff....

Shopping tomorrow!
Lol.
Apparently Dennys is giving out free Grand Slams to everyone tomorrow, so Brad and I are waking up early and driving out to Dennys in Idaho Falls for it.
And since I can't really wear ANY of my clothes anymore, we're gonna hit up Ross.
Finally i'll be able to stop wearing the same 3 shirts everyday.
Then, I'm' trying to convince Brad to go out to lunch at Olive Garden for soup, salad, and breadsticks.
Stupid Olive Garden commercials are on every 5 minutes and i've been craving it so much!!!
So, tomorrow should be fun and eventful.

Then this weekend, we'll probably be heading out to Utah.
It's my cousin's wedding and we weren't sure if we were going to go or not, but apparently Brad's dad and sister will be in Utah too, so we'll be able to see them on top of the wedding, so I decided we were going to go.
I'll just have to ask my aunt Katherine if we can stay at her house, since Jenna's will be full.
And THEN, in two weeks, Brad and I will be going to the cannery in IF, cleaning the temple, and doing sealings.
It's exciting to actually have plans!
Plus, my parents are supposedly coming up here sometime this month, so that should be fun too!
Especially if Jordyn and Avery get to come (wink to Laura).

Let's see... What else have we been up to...

We ordered some prints from Walmart of our Reception pictures.
Then I can finally fill up some up these empty photo frames that are sitting around.

Brad and I REALLY need to get our thank you cards done.
Problem is, we both have really crappy handwriting, so I apologize in advance for both the lateness of the cards and the chicken scratch found inside.

We're learning that Family History can be pretty tedious.
Especially when the same person is in there 5 times and you have to merge them all!
But hopefully it'll be worth it in the end to have a little bit more knowledge of our families.

I'm REALLY excited for Smallville this week.
Supposedly it's the last episode Lana will be in.
Yay!

Ok.
I'm running low on filler info.
I'm going to make an effort to blog more often.
After all, I really don't have anything better to do.
:)
